Steven B Silverman, M.D.


Dr. Steve Silverman completed his undergraduate education at the University of Toledo in Ohio and received his Medical Doctorate from Ohio State University, College of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio. He completed a transitional internship at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota and residency in Anesthesiology and fellowship in Pain Management at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

After completing his training, he became a staff anesthesiologist at the Coordinated Chronic Pain Program at the University of Michigan Medical Center and also directed the Pain Services for the Department of Anesthesiology at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Ann Arbor. After leaving the University of Michigan, he became the Director of the Center for Pain Management at W.A. Foote Memorial Hospital in Jackson, Michigan.

Prior to his association with MPI, Dr. Silverman was at Michigan Headache and Neurological Institute in Ann Arbor where he specialized in the treatment of Head and Neck Pain. Dr. Silverman is board certified in Anesthesiology with subspecialty board certification in Pain Management by the American Board of Anesthesiology with subspecialty board certification in Pain Management by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Dr. Silverman is treating patients at Chelsea Community Hospital as well as St Joseph Mercy Pain Institute.

Dr. Silverman is a nationally recognized expert specialist in the use of minimally invasive surgical technique in the treatment of head and neck pain.
